Most caps sold cheaply as "laser therapy" are LED devices wearing the word laser. The Luxuel Laser Cap 132 is not one of them: 132 individual 650nm laser diodes at 5mW each, cleared by the FDA under 510(k) K261253 — the same clearance that covers our 272.
Same 650nm wavelength the LLLT research has studied for decades. Same 30-minute session, three times a week. Same clearance, same laser classification, same controller, same carry case. At $599, against a category where the cheapest genuinely cleared laser caps start at $799.
This is the whole device at the entry price — not a trial version of one.
The 180-Day Commitment
Use the cap as directed — 30 minutes, three times a week — for six months. If you're not satisfied with your result, keep the cap and we'll refund 50% of the price you paid. You send nothing back.
To qualify, register within 30 days of delivery, check in once a month to log your sessions, and photograph the same area monthly holding a handwritten date. Send those photos once, with your claim, between day 180 and day 210.

This is the single thing worth checking before you buy any cap, from us or anyone else.
- Ask for the diode type. A genuine laser cap lists laser diodes and a specific wavelength. An LED cap says "red light" and stays vague.
- Ask for the 510(k) number. Registration is not clearance, and "approved" is not the word that applies to devices in this category — they are cleared, and a cleared device has a number. Ours is K261253.
- Check the laser classification. A real laser device has one. Ours is Class 3R under IEC 60825-1.
If a seller cannot answer all three, you are not looking at a laser cap.
Both caps are cleared under the same FDA 510(k). Both use 650nm laser diodes at 5mW each, and both run the same 30-minute session, three times a week. The wavelength, the output per diode and the session are identical.
The difference is density: 132 diodes at 1.42 mW/cm², against 272 at 2.93 mW/cm².
The 132 is a complete, cleared laser cap and we would not sell it if we thought otherwise. The 272 is the denser array and the specification the premium end of this market chose. If the difference in price is not the deciding factor for you, most people in that position take the 272 and stop thinking about it.
The FDA clearance covers a specific group, and we would rather tell you that up front than take an order from someone it was never cleared for.

- Is it laser or LED?
- Laser. True 650nm laser diodes — the technology used in the peer-reviewed LLLT studies, not LED panels. Every diode in our headline count is a laser; nothing else is folded in. These are not our marketing numbers: the FDA 510(k) summary for K261253 states the design specification as 650nm ±10nm at 5mW optical output per diode, Class 3R.
- When will I see changes?
- LLLT is gradual. Published trials measured results over months; most people notice changes around weeks 12–16. Individual results vary.
- What if it’s not for me?
- 30-day returns on unused, unopened devices, plus a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
