Why We Built Luxuel
When our second daughter was born, my wife was ready for the sleepless nights. What she wasn't ready for was how much hair she'd lose in the months that followed.
Like a lot of new moms, she tried everything she could find — thickening shampoos, scalp oils, supplements, vitamins. None of it gave back the thing she'd actually lost: the confidence she used to feel every time she looked in the mirror.
Watching someone you love quietly lose confidence is hard, and it sent me looking for something with real evidence behind it — not marketing. That's where I kept landing on low-level laser therapy.
I'll be honest, I was skeptical. It sounded too simple. But the research was hard to argue with. A 2021 meta-analysis of seven randomized, placebo-controlled trials found a significant increase in hair density in people using LLLT — and a 2025 review of more than 3,000 patients reached the same conclusion, for both men and women.
