The two prices that don't make sense
If you've shopped for a laser cap, you've seen two extremes:
- The $1,200–$3,000 premium caps — Capillus, iRestore and similar. Genuine laser-diode devices, FDA-cleared, but priced for clinics and early adopters.
- The $79–$150 "laser caps" on marketplaces — often LED devices dressed up with the word "laser," with no verifiable clearance number.

The 272-diode array is the configuration the premium end of the category settled on. We do not turn that count into a promise of a better outcome: our clearance states plainly that diode count does not alter how the device delivers energy, so we do not claim otherwise.
Why it isn't $1,200
The premium brands aren't overcharging for no reason — they carry retail distribution, clinic channels, big ad budgets, and warehoused inventory. We carry none of that yet. Why it isn't $99
A real laser-diode array has a hardware cost floor that a $99 device simply cannot meet. When a "laser cap" is that cheap, it's almost always an LED cap — scattered, non-coherent light, not the coherent laser diodes used in the clinical research.
